The Classrooms
Here is my final capstone project for my college. Strongly inspired by Silent Hill and several Japanese horror manga, I decided to create an environment base on my own elementary school, just added some interesting, and horrific twists.
I adopted several techniques and workflows that are popular in current generation game like mesh vertex painting and using Zbrush to create tillable textures and normal maps.

Quake II Light Guard Bust
This is an re-design of the light guard from Quake 2. The goal is to update the character to today's standard but trying to keep its original style and feelings as much as possible.
It was blocked out in 3ds Max and sculpted, textured and rendered in Zbrush.

Murloc Tomb - a hand painted style project
This are series connected rooms built for top-down camera view. I was amazed how good Diablo 3's hand painted style looks so I decided to try it out. All the textures were hand painted and every pieces were built as modular building blocks.
99% of the environment has no normal map. Only one is used for the water shader.

UDK CAPTURE THE Flag map - OLD WEST
Collaborated with my friends Shaun Wang and Hai Feng Yu. I was responsible for the level design, assets management and placement, lighting and material set up. I also created models and textures for the map. Few important ones are:
- cow skull and stone arch
- general store
- textures for the water tower
- train station and train cars.
